Wash Hands Thoroughly
Please remember to always wash your hands thoroughly before inserting your EvoGal menstrual cup.
Fold Your Cup
Fold your cup according to your desired fold. You may have to try a few before finding the best one for you.
Insert Cup Into Your Vagina
Maintaining the fold, insert the cup, rim first, into your vagina at a 45 degree angle. The cup should pop open.
Tips for inserting A Menstrual Cup
The cup should pop open and sit comfortably against your vaginal walls while at the same time creating an airtight seal inside.
You can rotate or move the cup around to ensure this happens. If you still find there is no seal created, insert one index finger along the side of the cup, push your vaginal wall away from the cup which should allow air inside, then press down on the middle of the cup to release the air and this should create the desired seal.
Once the cup is placed, tug down on the cup slightly. You should feel a suction like feeling inside. If you feel this then you know the seal has been created. If, however the cup comes out easily, you need to remove the cup, rinse it off and reinsert.

Tips for Removing A Menstrual Cup
Sit comfortably on the toilet pan, then pull down on the ball of the cup while pushing your abdominal muscles to push the cup out. Once the cup starts coming out, pinch the base of the cup and remove the cup at a 45 degree angle. If you find that the airtight seal is not breaking, insert one finger alongside the cup to allow air to go inside which will release the seal.
If you are at the end of your cycle, sterilise your cup in boiling water and clean it with a brush before storing it safely for your next cycle.
